Arbitration Court

(Per Press Association). Dunedin, September 18 Acting on the advice of the President of the Arbitration Court, the Plumbers and Gasfitters' Union and the Master Plumbers met in conference, and agreed to a settlement of the matters in dispute. Judge Chapman, in congratulating the parties on the result, said it would always be found, when the parties agreed in this way after discussion, that the awards were more faithfully observed than when they were forced on them. The tramways dispute will be taken on Monday, and will probably last several days.
