Immigration

Wellington, September 15 The steamer Kumars,. «hich reached Wellington this morning, brought nearly 200 immigrants to New Zealand, 67 of the number being for Wellington, Th«e aw only a faw labourers. There are farmers, joiners, irs, clerks, drivers and butchers :" fair numbers, and amongst the single representatives are a clergyman, a carver, a 'ssmaker, a navvy, a seamstress, a seaman, a shepherd, a traveller, a miner, a wharfinger, a grocer and a builder. There are halfa dozen or so aged men amongst the immigrants, but the remainder are ali either youthful or in the prime of life.
