Mr W. J. Culver, General Secretary of the Liberal and Labour Federation of New Zealand, was presented with an illuminated address and a purse of sovereigns in recognition of his services to the party. A presentation was aLo made to Mrs Culver. Among those present at the function were Sir Jo.-:eph Ward, and the lions. I'itt, Duncan, and Mills.
