The Petropanlovsk.
Received April 17, t).2i a.m. London, April 18. A Times.lettergram despatched oft Corea, says it is officially reported that a torpedo "attack resulted in the sinking of the battleship Petropaulovsk anrl a torpedo destroyer. Received April 17, 3.35 a.m. London, April lfi. It is stated at Kobe that f»rior to the sinking of the Petropaulovsk, the Japanese laid thirty mints at the entrance to Port Arthur. Count Cassin-i, Russian ambassador at Washington, condoled with President Roosevelt on the Missouri disaster. The President, in returning thanks, expressed personally his sym pathy with Russia in the loss of the Petropaulovsk.
