Magistrate's Court.

At the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Messrs W. Y. Dennett (Mayor) and E. Hall, J.P., Anne Sutton, charged with being drunk in a public place, was fined 5s and 2s oosts or, in default, 21 hours' imprisonment. Alfred Hawkins was charged with stealing a watch of the value of £B. After some discussion as to tha valua of the watch, the accused was oonviofced and discharged on condition be paid 25s to the owner as restitution. William Burke was charged, under theT'oLca Offences act, wish committing an indecent act in K&ramu Boad. Constable Pigeon's evidence having horn taken, accused was sentenced to 24 hours' imprisonment. James Year, who d'd not appear, was cccvicted of a similar offoaee and sentenced to 14 day ; ;' imprisonment.
