(Received January 18, 9.10 a.m.) Adelaide, January 18. The Hon. Jas. Carroll and Mr A. L. D. Fraser, M.H.R., are visiting Adelaide. They were entertained at luncheon by the Ministry. (Received January 18, 12.41 p.m.) Sydney, January 18. Jimmy Governor was executed this morning. As tbe condemned man left tbe cell and walked to the scaffold he made an attempt to appear calm, smoking a cigarette as he took his place on the drop. In reply to the usual question, he said be had nothing to say. As the fatal moment approached he gave evidence of fainting. The bolt was drawn and death was instantaneous.
