The following team has been selected by Turanganni Club to play Waerenga a-hika in the Cup match next Saturday Full back— Featon ; three-quarters—Maude, Matthews, Hepburn; halves—Burns, Branson, Loomb; forwards—Forrest, Robinson, Leslie, Hope, Crawford, Sherriff, Niabett, Eston ; emergencies—Masterson, Williams, O’Meara. All members of the Club are requested to roll up for indoor practice at the City Bink this evening, as the team is subject to alteration, At a meeting of the Hawke s Bay Rugby Union the Caledonian Club protested against a match being allowed to the Ahuriris, on account of incompetency of the referee. A Committee was appointed to decide the matter, an opportunity to be given for witnesses on behalf of either side to give evidence. At the Ponsonby-Grafton match in Auckland there were no umpires.
