Proposed Combination.
ChbisYchurch, last night. A proposal has been started for the amalgamation of the Christchurch Press and the Lyttelton Times. There has long been a big fight going on between the two papers, each struggling for supremacy. The Press is on tho Conservative side, and the Times is a staunch supporter of tho present Ministry. Both papers arc at present run by companies.
