WHATAUPOKO ROAD DISTRICT. THE following Proclamation is published in terms of the Public Work, Act, 1882. The said Proclamation was published in the New Zealand Gacette, No. 1, of 2nd January, 1890. J. WARREN, Clerk. Gisborne, 15th Jan., 1890. ONSLOW, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “ The Public Works Act, 1882," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, ths construction of a Hoad in Whataupoko Road District: And whereas the Whataupoko Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof: Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “ The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and nothonty in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare ihst, from and after tbs date of the publics tion hereof in tne New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto ia hereby taken for ths purposes of the construction of the said road.
