Thebe was a meeting ot the Board of Consultation yesterday at the office, Gisborne, to consider a telegram from Sydney to the effect that the Directorate authorised the five appointed at the last meeting, and empowered them, to arrange with Mr Stnhbs to sink another 12 feet if desirable. The Board sent for Mr Stubbs, and it was arranged that he should proceed to the Springs forthwith, accompanied by Mr James Browne, engineer, and make a thorough investigation of the well and report to the Board in one week,
