IN pursuance of tbe Regulations of Elections Act, 1881,1, James Booth,Returning Officer for the East Coast Electoral District, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the fourteenth day of November, 1889, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member for tbe eaid Electoral District; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House, Gisborne, at noon, on the 6th day of December, 1889, and that a Poll (if necessary) will be taken at the several Polling Places of the said District on the 13th DAY OF DECEMBER, 1889. The following are the Polling Places for the East Coast Electoral District:— The Court House, Gisborne (Principal) The Police Office, Ormond Mr Wilson’s Store, Te Arai The Public Hall, Patutahi The School House, Karaka Mr Arthur’s Wool Shed, Whatatutu Mr McNair’s Store, Waimata The Court House, Tologa Bay Mr Wallis’s Wool Shed, Waipiro The Court House, Awanui The Court House, Clyde The School House, Frasertown Mr White’s House, Tiniroto Mr William Morris's House, Mahia J, BOOTH, 1 Returning Officer.
