Hawke’s Bay Bankruptcy Court.

(fbom our own correspondent.) Napier, last night. His Honor the Chief Justice held a sitting of the Superior Court of Bankruptcy on Saturday morning, and gave judgment in respect to two applications by the Deputy Assignee in the estate of J. G. Kinross. One was for the recovery from Richardson and Co. of £69. and the other for the recovery from Robjohns and Co. of several sums amounting to about £650, being in both cases moneys paid by Kinross in preference to other creditors, His Honor dismissed both applications, holding that it had not been shown that the payments in question were made by Kinross to contemplate bankruptcy, or that there was any intention to give preference to Mr Richardson or Mr Robjohns. Notice of appeal was given. Mr Lascelles applied on behalf of J. Vigor Brown for an order]ihat Edward Blackwell, tailor, be publicly examined, but the application was dismissed on the ground that Mr Brown only represented other creditors, and was not n creditor himself, and though he could vote at a meeting ot creditors he could not appear against the debtor In Gouri, His Honor said an application to have the debtor examined could be made by creditors when he came up for his discharge.

His Honor left in the afternoon per Tara wsra for Wellington.
