NEW HEBRIDES QUESTION.
FRANCE TO EVACUATERAIATEA ISLAND AS COMPENSATION. London, October 28. It is officially announced that France has contracted to evacuate the New Hebrides within four months. France will have the Island of Riateo as compensation for the New Hebrides, not the Leeward Islands as previously telegraphed. In Berlin it is feared that the settlement regarding New Hebrides and Suez Canal will cause England and France to coalesce.
