The Otago Daily Times says :—“ The return of Mr H. S. Fish by so large a majority in Dunedin South casts a slur upon the whole tow i in the eyes of the rest of the colony. A southern paper says : Sir John Hall is too i autocratic, too selfish, and too much addicted to beginning at the wrong end with the prunng knife to suit the people of this country.
