HORRIBLE MURDER.
A WOMAN BURNT TO DEATH. Brisbane, August 3. A settler named Sherwood, at Croydon Goldfield, Queensland, left his wife and a man named Travers in his hut, but on his return he found that Travers had decamped with his money, and had roasted Mrs Sherwood alive by holding her on the fire. The woman is since dead, and Travers has been arrested.
