GBAUD NAVAL EEVIEW. OOVEU xao Vessels assembled. HER MAJESTY AND HER TARS. London, July 21. The most magnificent naval display ever witnessed in British waters took place on Saturday last off Portsmouth, before her Majesty the Queen, Her Majesty on board the Royal yacht Victoria and Albert pa»sed between the lines, and was received with a royal salute followed by deafening sheers from the crews of the vessels in review, Ths Prince of Wales and his eon Prines George, the OroWd Prince and Prinoees of Germany, and leading members of other European Royal families, added to a large number of foreign diplomatists, and distinguished members of the House of Commons, were present, and they and Her Majesty were (greatly pleased at the superb display. The review itself was a great success, over 80 first-class vessels being engaged in it. With the unarmoured cruisers, gunboats, floating batteries, and torpedo boats, the total number of vessels was over 150, and it was admitted by all the foreign naval authorities present that a similar display of naval force by any other power but England would be impossible-, A special feature of the review was ths exploding of several submarine mines, and the breaking of an limmense boom by the Polyphemus and the Colossus. The experiments were extremely successful. Everything passed ofi well, without the slightest hitch or accident, and the commanders of the various ships were warmly complimented by the Queen when they were presented to Her Majesty after the review was over. Thousands of spectators lined the shores and numbers of special trains were run conveying sight-seers from all parts of the king, dom. At night the vessels of the fleet were illuminated, the electric light being specially effective. Portsmouth was en fete and the greatest enthusiasm prevailed. The London papers this morning, notably the Standard and the Times, allude in eulogistic terms to the complete success of the review and express an opinion that the reform at present being effected in the management of the Navy will tend to still greater efficiency. He Majesty stopped at her retidenoe at Osborne, Isle of Wight, after the review.
