THE NAVY EXPENDITURE.
RANDY JUSTIFIED. London, July 29. During the discussion in the House of Commons on the Navy estimates, Lord B. Churchill repeated his charges of wasteful expenditure. Lord George Hamilton, in reply, stated that a decrease of £BOO,OOO had been effected. The vote was agteed to. THE ANGLO-EGYPTIAN CONVENTION, ANTI-BRITISH FEELING. London, July 20, The French and Bussian Press are jubilant at the failure of Sir H. Drummond Wolff’s mission with regard to the Egyptian Convention. The British Press retort that the real victory remains with England.
