The evidence disclosed the fact that scores of cliildreh Gf thb age Of ten Id f xirtbeh had beeii obtained by thb prisoners f »r debauched nien who, though of such disgustingly depraved tastes, appear to be men of ra k. The prosecution is undertaken by the Government, and a terrible scandal is expected when fuller disoloaurcs are in vie. The trial was postponed to admit of further evidence Loing obtained. The discovery of the very loathsome business is due to a detective employed by the Reformatory and Refuge Union. The deteotivo in liis evidence deposed that diiriug the past four years the Union had iexulted from lives of immorality and the streets 400 girls of the ages of 10} to 14.
