Westport Junket Society

At the monthly' meeting of the above, there were present Mesdames R. Hagedorn (president), J. Brown, A. Ness, J. Risk, A. Davies, K. Goodman, W. Caldwell, P. Larsen, D. Gemmill, N. McGerty, C. Day, E. Phibbs and L. Gay. Apologies were received from Mesdames L. Lamont, W. Jenkins, C. Roselli, J. M. Robertson, C. McHerron, S. Atkinson and T. Parkhouse. Mesdames O. Lawrence and A. Ness were appointed a visiting committee. Th e Health Department advised a nurse with Plunket training would be appointed at Reefton this year. It would then be possible to relieve Sister Anderson of travelling to Inangahua. It was resolved that the Plunket danc e be held in the Theatre Royal on Boxing night. Afternoon tea was served by' the hostesses (Mesdames J. Brown and D. Gemmill)
