The British United Press correspondent at New Delhi says: Appeals for mercy from Nathuram Vinayak Godse, who was sentenced to death for the assassination of Gandhi, and from Narayan Apte, who was sentenced to death for conspiracy, have been rejected by the Indian GovernorGeneral, Mr Ragagopalachari..
