“WAR” IN EMBASSY OF THE CHINESE IN PARIS

A new “Chinese War” has broken out here, with the casualties, so far, comprising black eyes and bruises among the nine Communist members of the Chinese Embassy staff in Paris. The trouble began at the bar at the Embassy last night, when there was a scuffle between the Chinese Nationalist sympathisers and the pro-Com-munists of the staff. k The Communists were thrown out. The Chinese Charge ’d Affaires appealef for French intervention, and a dozen hefty French policemen arrived at the Embassy to-day. When the black-eyed Communists arrived this morning, they were not allowed into the Embassy,' and they turned down an offer to send two representatives inside to a peace conference.
