Buller Labour Party Election Committee

Mr C. H. Thomas presided at a meeting of the Buller Labour Party Election Committee, there being a large attendance. It was decided that a room at the Community Centre be engaged for one month as headquarters, with Mrs Irene Ryan (organiser) to be in . attendance. A donation of £5 17s 6d was received from the Seddonville branch, and the secretary (Mrs D. I. Harlen) stated that a social was being held for further funds. Members of the committee were invited to attend. The Member for Buller (Mr Skinner) repotted that successful meetings were being held all over the electorate. Advice was received that Mr M Moohan, M.P. for Petone, would visit Westport on November 7, and meetings will be arranged in the town and country. Mrs Harrison donated a duchess set for competition.
