KING LEOPOLD’S REFERENDUM

BRUSSELS, Oct. 11

A joint Parliamentary Committee to-day approved the final draft of the Bill providing for a referendum on King Leopold’s return to the throne.

Twenty-three Social Christian (Catholic) members of the oJint Committee voted in favour of the Bill. Thirteen Socialist members voted against it and five Liberals ab; stained.

The Bill will be debated in the Senate on October 25 and later in the Chamber of Deputies.
