VILLAGE FOR N.Z. WAR VETERANS

P.A. AUCKLAND, Oct 12. An architectural competition among war veteran members of the New Zealand Institutte of Architects will be held to select a plan for the establishment of a £250,000 war veterans’ communial village on a site at Okoroire. near Auckland. Accommodation for aged and semiconvalescent veterans of the 1939/45 war will be eventually contained in the settlement which the board has named, today “Okoroire Park.” The board decided to allocate £60,000 for imrpediate costs in connection with the starting of work.
