SOVIET-YUGOSLAV RECRIMINATIONS
(Rec. 10.5). NEWs YORK, Oct. 10. Russia to-day charged Yugoslavia with “treason” in deserting the Commform and of joining “capitalism and reaction”. This attack on Yugoslavia was made by Mr Amazasp Arutinia, Soviet delegate in the Economic Committee of the United Nations, during a debate on the projected programme of assistance to the under-developed areas. The Yugoslav delegate, Mr Joza Vilfan, rejoined with: “Yugoslavia has lost confidence in the Soviet Union, which has wrecked our fiveyear plan”.
