Burglar Alarm Fails to Operate (Rec 6.45) LONDON, October 10.
The Daily Herald says: Scotland Yard will hold an inquiry into the failure of an automatic burglar alarm which should start a gramophone at Scotland Yard whenever an intruder enters Bucklingham Palace. This alarm did not operate when a 26-year-old man who, formerly, was under mental care, entered the palace early yesterday.
