The main Buller electoral roll contains 250 more names than the Westland roll of 14,150, which also shows an increase on the 1946 main roll, which contained only 12,775 names, or 1375 fewer. The total number of electors on the Buller roll is 14,400, compared with 13,091 in 1946. Including the 1396 names on the supplementary roll, however, the total number of electors in 1946 was 14,488, or 88 more than the total on the present main roll.
