Personal

The funeral took place at the Orowaiti Cemetery of John Luff. Many friends and relatives were present at the graveside and a particularly longcortege proceeded from the residence in Brougham Street. Many floral tributes were placed on the grave. The Rev. Mr Madill officiated at the residence and graveside. The pallbearers were; Messrs N. Luff, C. White, G. Getley, I. Hazeldine, J. Burt, and J. Callaghan. Airways passengers to and from Westport were: —Saturday: From Wellington, Mr Kilkenny, Mr M. Thane, Miss A. Murphy; from Hokitika, Mrs M. Clarke. On Monday passengers were: —From Wellington. Mr J. D. McDonald; from Nelson, Mr J. B. Pearson, Mr A. Delany, Mr Jury; for Nelson, Mr T. Norriss; for Wellington, Mr C. Parris, Mrs C. Parris, Mr A. E. Caldwell.
