LINE ON POLICY OF WEST GERMANY
BERLIN, Aug 23. Dr. Konrad Adenauer, the new Chancellor of Western Germany, today gave several policy points for Germany’s future. They were:— (1) The Western Powers, in future to consult with the German Federal Government on the German territory’s defence. (2) Germany eventually to join the Atlantic Pact. (3) The establishment of a West German Ministry for Eastern Zone Affairs, but opposition to closer coooeration between the East and the West. (4) Continuation of the economic policies of the present bi-zone authorities. (5) One big party .to lead the new German Federal Government, with the second largest party forming the responsible Opposition.
