Grey Trotting Club Officers Re-elected The following officers of the Greymouth Trotting Club have been reelected, unopposed: President, Mr J. Steel; vice-presidents, Messrs E. McDonnell/ T. Oxenham and F. McGregor (life member), and treasurer Mr W. E. J. Steer. Three members who retired by rotation, Messrs E. W. Miller, J. O’Donnell and J. Saunders, have all offered themselves for re-electipn. There are three new nominations, Dr B. W. Nixon, Messrs C. R. McGinley and J. H. Kennedy. There are thus six nominations for four vacancies as, in addition to the retirements by rotation, a vacancy was created on the committee by the death of Mr D. Heaphy. The totalisator turnover for the past year was down £4805 on the previous year’s figures, and stakes totalling £7470 were paid, as against £7450 in 1948.
