500 Villages Flooded in India
LUCKNOW, August 22. Nearly 500 villages in the United Provinces are under water as tne result of floods after heavy rains. The river Ganges and three of its tributaries are in spate. The water level is now only three feet uelow the danger level in some places, considerable damage to crops and property is reported and the Government is evacuating people in boats.
