24-FOOT YACHT CROSSES ATLANTIC

(Rec. 11.10) LONDON, Aug. 18. Cheered by thousands of people, two brothers. Stanley and Colin Smith, stepped ashore at Dartmouth from a twenty-foot yacht, “Novo Espero”, at the end of a three thousand forty-three day voyage across the Atlantic. The Mayor of Dartmouth, fourteen councillors and the Smith’s parents were on the quayside to welcome the yachtsmen, who handed the Mayor a message of greeting from the’ Mayor of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, from where the “Nova Espero” sailed.
