Murchison Sub Assn. At Murchison a Town v. Country match was played on July 9, the Town team being’ victorious by 4 goals to 1. On July 16, a Murchison B team visited Nelson, playing a Nelson team in the morning and the result being a draw, with no scores. The team attended the Pope Shield match in the afternoon. Two Murchison players were included in the Buller team. Next Saturday, Maruia team meet Kow’hai for the first round of the knock-out cup. The Macadan Cup, open to any ladies’ slx-a-side team is being held at Murchison on August 6. Entries close on July 23. Already teams have been entered from Motueka, Riwaka,, Westport and Murchison and teams from the West Coast will be welcome.
