With games of 21 heads and the finals of five heads, the Cobden Bowling Club’s one-day tourney will be held to-day. The draw, with starting times, is as follows:— First round. —9 to 10.40 a.m.: Oakley (Blaketown) v Butts (Karoro); Cowan (Cobden) v McMillan (Greymouth); Jackson (Cobden) v Halliday (Cobden); Taylor (Runanga) v Longstaff (Blaketown); Robertson (Greymouth) v Breeze (Hokitika) - Cairney (Runanga) v Mcßean (Cobden) ; Thomson (Karoro) v McPhee tDunollie); Hughes (Greymouth) v McKay (.Greymouth Second round. —10.55 a.m. to 12.35 p.m.: Thomson v Mcßean; Hughes v McPhee; Oakley v McKav: Cowan v Butts; Jackson v McMillan; Taylor v Halliday; Robertson v Longstaff; Cairney v Breeze. Cobden Singles Title The Cobden Club’s singles champion for the current season is W. McBean, who defeated R. Thomson in an exciting final by 19 to 18. Mcßean was two down on the third last bowl and played two outstanding shots for a last-minute victory. Karoro Club The Karoro Bowling Club’s championship winners for the season were: — Fours.—Wilson, Leopold, Binnie and Mardon (s). Fairs: Ramage and Mardon (s). Singles: S. Peek. Junior singles: E. Langbein. Junior pairs: Mcßobie jnr., and R. Reynolds. Colts’ singles: E. Butts.
