COMMUNIST ESPIONAGE METHODS IN GERMANY

BERLIN, Feb. 24 Terrorist tactics used by Polish secret police agents in organising an espionage ring in the United States zone of Germany were described in the trials of two Polish nationals and three Germans, says the Associated Press Munich correspondent. They appeared before an American Military Commission charged with obtaining United States military information for a foreign Power. The purported confession of the ring leader, Theodor Szendielorz, a 34-years-old Pole, was read in Court. In 'it Szendielorz said he met a Captain Kamien, of the Polish secret service, who forced him to co-oper-ate “otherwise I would be dead or in Siberia.” One of his jobs was to find out which Germans had relatives in Poland and report them to Kamien. Threats to the safety of such relatives were used to enlist agents.
