The depth of the bar at high water yesterday was 25ft 3in. The Matthew Flinders is loading timber for Melbourne and is expected to sail at the end of next week. The Kiwitea, which arrived in the roadstead from Auckland on Tuesday entered port yesterday morning. She will load coal for return and is expected to sail early next week.

The Puriri with coal for Nelson, sailed yesterday morning. The Gabriella cleared Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday and is due at Greymouth this afternoon. She will load coal for return to Miramar. The Poolta has been delayed by wet weather at Wellington and was expected to leave there yesterday afternoon. She is due at Greymouth to-morrow morning and will load coal for return. The Kartigi was to have left Auckland yesterday afternoon and is due at Greymouth on Tuesday. She will load coal for Auckland and Portland.
