YUGOSLAV CLAIMS ON AUSTRIA MODIFIED

LONDON, February 24. The Yugoslav Deputy Foreign Minister, Dr. Ales Bebler, submitted today to the conference of Foreign Ministers’ deputies on Austria compromise proposals on Yugoslavia s claims against that country. W* s proposals included frontier rectification- political and economic autonomy’for that part of Carinth a which should remain part of Austria ana "substantial reparations.” Dr. Bebler surprised the deputies bv making no reference to Yugoslavia’s former claims of 150,000,009 dollars reparations and to territory in Carinthia. ~ Dr Bebler suggested that Southern Carinthia, with a mainly Slovene population, should be made a senarate Austrian province with political, economic and cultural autononiy
