CROQUET West Coast Tourney

Play on the third day of the West Coast Croquet Association’s annual tournament was continued yesterday in far from ideal conditions. The greens, however, are playing remarkably well. Championship singles: First life, first round: Mrs Hosking (Christchurch) defeated Mrs Rhodes (Dunedin) 26-21. Second round: Mrs Bull (Christchurch) defeated Mrs Hawke by default. Mr Wilson (Runanga) defeated Mrs Hooper (Greymouth) 26-20.
