Air Services Interrupted

Due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing on the West Coast and about Cook Strait yesterday morning the Wellington-Nelson-Westport and Hokitika-Westport air services were cancelled. Passengers for northern destinations proceeded to Nelson per Newman’s afternoon bus service whilst those from the north will not arrive in Westport until to-day. While passengers left by Newman bus, a car from Gibbs service was needed to enable the luggage and more passengers to leave.
