VOLUBLE ALRIGHT !
LONDON, Feb. 22 In the House of Commons the Conservatives volubly disagreed with the Government plan in the Iron and Steel Bill dealing with the issue of licences by the Minister to permit smaller firms to carry on production when the industry is nationalised. ' Mr H. C. Fraser was the most emphatic dissentient. He said: “We believe it to be a restrictive, ossifying, petrifying, atrophying, lapidifying, corrupting, stiff-necked, inflexible, and cretinous clause in a bunkumfilled Bill which, is a challenge to the . freedom of every British subject. 1 A Conservative amendment m the committee to delete the clause defeated. -
