LECTURES ON HEALTH IN INDUSTRY

Early next month, West Coast workers and employers, as well as members of the general public, will have the opportunity of hearing important lectures on industrial health and processes by Dr T. O. Garland, Director of the Division of Industrial Hygiene, and Dr D. P.- Kennedy, medical inspector of factories at Christchurch. The lectures will coincide .with an inspection of mines and industrial establishments by the doctors, and general discussions on industrial health matters with local medical practitioners. , , The itinerary for the two doctors is as follows: — . . Monday, March 7: Visit to Strongman mi<e in the morning—lecture at Runanga Miners’ Hall at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March S: Inspection of Watersiders’ Flail, Dispatcjh Foundry and other factories in Greymouth. Lecture at Lyceum Hall, at 8 p.m., factory workers and employers. Wednesday, March 9: Inspection of Wallsend mine in the morning. Lecture at the Wallsend Hall at 7.00 p.mThursday, March 10: Inspection of Waiuta mine and meeting with local medical practitioners in Greymouth in th Frffiay, inS March 11: Inspection of Blackball mine.
