P A AUCKLAND, February z2. The defeat of the Australian cyclist, Keith Reynolds, by he .^ eW w orTd land representative at the woHd championship last year. A. W. Stonex was the sensation of the night at a meeting conducted by centre for Reynolds and his fellow Australian, Sid Patterson. Stonex won the sprint frtam Reynolds by inches in 14.4 sec for the final of the 290yds ' Patterson proved outstanding He won all six of the events in which he competed. In the one-mile handicap he appeared to be :n a hopeless position, but his powerful sprint the home banking took mm to Lie front just before the line.
