SOVIET PLAN TO INCREASE ITS WAR POTENTIAL

LONDON, Feb. 21

Marshal of the Soviet Union, Govorov, in an article put out by the Tass agency, said that the British and American ruling circles were concocting plans for a new world war, creating all kinds of military alliances and blocs aimed against the Soviet. “These wild plans of the new pretenders to world domination are doomed to failure, but the tension of the present international situation, created as a result of the provocative policy of the imperialists, imperatively compels us to increase our efforts for the further strengthening of the defensive might of the U.S.S.R., the article says.
