NEGOTIATIONS TO-DAY ON TEKAPO STRIKE

TIMARU, Feb. 21 Negotiations foi’ the settlement of the dispute at the Lake Tekapo hydro-electric development works are expected to take place at Lake Tekapo to-morrow between the senior engineers of the Public Works Department and representatives of the New Zealand Workers’ Union. All members of the union were addressed to-day, at Lake Tekapo by Mr W. Wallace, the national president. The strike started at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday, and only essential services have been maintained by workers since then.
