The Karepo sailed on Saturday with coal and posts for Gisborne. The Holmlea sailed on Saturday with coal for Wanganui, but sprang a leak and had to be towed to Westport roadstead. The Poolta sailed on Saturday with coal for Wellington. The motor vessel Hauiti, on her first trip to the West Coast, where she is to engage in the South Westland trade, arrived here on Saturday at 11 a.m., bringing general cargo for Greymouth and Hokitika. She is a handy vessel, larger than her predeceassor, the Gael. She proceeds to Hokitika to unload the remainder of her cargo, and to load a cargo of silver pine posts for Wanganui. The Puriri is due to-morrow from Westport to load coal for Wanganui. The Matthew Flinders is in the roadstead and will enter port when the seas moderate. She will load timber for Melbourne. The Kiwitea is expected to-morrow from Auckland to load coal for return.
