The woman fell under the rear wheel of the bus as it moved off. The driver stopped immediately. Africans poured from the compound and began stoning this bus and another. The Indian occupants called for a police riot squad, who soon restored order. Some natives were arrested, and three of the Indians were taken to hospital.
