The’well-known vessel t.s.s. Matai, one time lighthouse tender, cable layer, vice regal ‘yacht’, when a naval vessel was not available, and more recently engaged on navy duties, is now offered by the War Assets Realisation Board for sale by tender, as advertised irv this issue.
It. has been reported that the Government may, by a gazette notice today, amend the Economic Stabilisation Emergency Regulations to enable the Arbitration Court to make provision for a general wages order. The report lacks confirmation.

In five minutes at London on Friday the New Zealand Government loan of £7,000,000 offered at 3 per cent., at par was over-subscribed. The loan is a repayment of a 35 per cent., loan of £7,322,579. The remaining £322,579 will be repaid out of London funds.
