BRUNNER NOTES

(Our Own Correspondent)

Mr and Airs N. Gibson are on a holiday visit to Auckland and Hikurangi. , , Mrs Bennie has returned from Cbristchuch. The' heaviest rain for some consideralbe time was experienced on Saturday last. While this replenished the water supply of householders, it was not welcomed by those gardeners preparing exhibits for the local flower shows. n The levelling of the Taylorville school playing area is almost completed and the area should be sown down grass by the week-end. It is hoped that it'will be ready for use before winter games commence. Alembers of the Taylorville Domain' Board are at present mowing the playing area in preparation for the annual sports to be held next month, when a grand women s marching contest will be held. Pupils' of the Taylorville school competed with considerable success al the West Coast schools sports this week.
