EARL BALDWIN NOT BEING SACKED

LONDON, Feb. 17. Lord Baldwin, Governor of the Leeward Island, after a long talk with the Colonial Secretary, Mr Creech Jones, to-day said he. hoped he would be returning to the islands. “We discussed a number of extremely interesting points, such as constitutional reform, a scheme. for a a new hospital and economic developments under money provided by the Colonial Welfare Provident Fund," he said. He would have another interview next week. Political circles prophesy that the troubles will be smoothed over, that Lord Baldwin will return as governor, and that the Colonial Office has proved sympathetic to the reforms he has urged.
