TOWN MILK SUPPLIES AND CLEANLINESS

At tire Municipal Association conference, delegates alleged a lack o' co-operation between tho Department of Agriculture and municipal health inspectors in seeing that sanitary conditions existed on farms supplying milk for town consumption. Other speakers said inspecto'’s wo’-e satisfactory, and a remit on the subject was lost. Mr W. Kemp (Masterton) moved that inspectors or miu authorities, or of local bodies, rvhorc there were no milk aiuhorities. b' given power to inspect the premises and plant on farms supplying milk for town consumption. He contended that the Department of was not ensuring that tho standarc of cleanliness w h’eh be and that there was a lack ot cooperation by the department.
